baby's weight

I just went for my 33 week apt and they did a 4D ultrasound which is awesome you can see every detail but when I asked how much she weighed and how big she is they told me that they don't provide weight analysis unless they indicate something is wrong because most insurances won't pay for it. And I know I should be grateful there isn't anything wrong which I am but I would like to know what to expect when labor comes ob how big she's gonna be and I have medicaid so wouldn't they pay. I'm just confused I thought it was routine to measure the baby and weigh her. Any thoughts on this issue.

Thank you. I'm gonna ask at my next appointment if they could do a weight assessment just to have an idea.

It is nice to get an idea although every time I had them done they told me with my first 2 they were only 5 pounds when I had them both over 7 pounds with my 3rd they told me 6 pounds and he was 8lb 5oz so now I know with this one I just need to go up 2pounds

Your doctor might be able to tell you because theyreLly have to write it down to track the growth of the baby so maybe she can help

Thank you. Ik it won't be 100%accurate but i would just like an idea of what she could possibly weight but they won't weight her at all. So I have no clue what to expect on how big she might be.

That late in the pregnancy, it's hard to get an accurate weight measurement. When I had an ultrasound done at 38 weeks, she said they guess the weight by the size of the head at that point. My son was off the charts. (Over 10 lbs according to the charts). He ended up only being 8 lbs 9.5 oz but his head was the size of a 10+ lb baby
