breastfeed & formula

Ok i see...i think i will have to establish breastfeeding first.then slowly start with formula

Yes boobs only work by supply and demand. If you lessen the demand with formula you can end up stopping sooner than you hoped for because you don't make enough. Once your supply is established, some Mom's pump the feeding that baby gets a bottle and put that into the freezer for storage. I'd highly recommend talking with a lactation consultant to ease your mind and get tips to make it a success.

It all depends on your baby too. I breast fed my daughter. And I'm pretty sure she would have starved if I gave her a bottle. She refused a bottle and or a binky. She only wanted the boob. Some infants can do both bottle and breast some get confused.

Yes but it's best to establish breastfeeding before introducing the formula. If you do the formula early it can hinder milk production or baby's ability to latch properly.
