FTM QUESTION!

Im currently 35.5 weeks pregnant and have not pre registered at a hospital (which is the one my midwife told me theymostly work with and is the one closest to me) ... Do I HAVE TO PREREGISTER? or can I just go when its time ?... & another question ... Im not seeing a doctor I see a midwife at a pregnancy aid center.. Will she be going to the hospital to deliver my baby ? I know I may sound ignorant .. But as a Ftm to be alot of things I dont know .. If someone could answer my questions it would mean Alot ! Thank you!

Ya I would pre register so it's done and you don't have to think about it when you get there. It's just 1 last thing to worry about.

Hmm, good question. I know the clinic I go to has a special set up with area hospitals and our records are faxed after every visit. Next time u go ask if ur records can be shared with that hospital.

Yea it's a good idea to do so. They will be able 2 let u knw if ur mid wife would be contacted. Also its good to tour the hospital & see what things they  provide so u don't over pack.

unless you want to be filling out paper work for 15-20 mins while getting contractions it's best you register sooner than later.. some hospitals won't place you in a room till all the paper work is filled out.. it's just a smother process and less stressful to get it out of the way before you go into labor
