C-Section Questions

How long does it take to be able to up and moving around?
Does the insicion hurt until fully healed?
Will I be able to return to work soon?
My daughter is still head up and we're going to try a EC version but If it doesn't work it's a c-section. I've already had 3 vaginal births

At my old hospital they had me up and walking in 6-8 hrs after words. Honestly no one can truly tell you if it's going to hurt or not. I have a high pain tolerance and less then a week later I barely need the pain pills. The incision will hurt from time to time after you have completely healed. Also what they don't tell you, it's kinda in the fine print, you may lose feeling or have a numbness in the area around part or all of your incision. It may go away, but it  may not. I had that happen after my second c-section but it went away less then a year later.

@PreguntonaPensativa I know 4 people who had twins and they all had them naturally... Definitely possible! It's just slightly higher risk than a normal birth, but if their positions are good there's usually no reason to have a csec. A lot of doctors just do csecs for twins no matter what, so find a doctor/midwife that is on board with and well trained in a natural birth if that's what you want...

I am pregnant with twins and I want to know if there is any way out of a C-section. I never wanted a C-section and with twins I see that is the probable thing that will be done to me. Am I wrong or has anyone here had or is having twins without a c-section?

Agree with the above poster.  I think they had me up 12 hrs later and honestly if u end up needing one don't  freak out too much.  It's  not really that bad at all and look at this way, u get to keep all ur lady bits intact!  Good luck to u and hope ur baby flips instead so u don't need to worry about  it!

They have you get up and moving within 24 hrs. They will also keep you in the hospital for 3 to 5 days. Also since you have a c section instead of the normal 6 weeks maternaty leave you get 8. It will hurt for awhile and stool soffiners  will be your best friend. My advice is put a pad on the instion  in your underwear. And when you need to caugh ,  sneeze ,  or get up push a pillow against the instion so it won't hurt as much. You will probably  need help at least the 1st week getting in and out of bed. I have to get c sections everytime I have a baby. So I'm trying to prepare myself for this next one. I wish you luck.
