My daughters father is such a jerk! He went from I trapped him to our daughter not his' and we were together 2 years! He been MIA since i told him i was pregnant. How early can u take a DNA test and apply for child support?

You can actually start fileing now so the can have a court order for paternity served to him prior to birth. That will require him to give his DNA sample within a week of your childs birth. Also you will want to establish sole custody before birth so he can not come into the hospital while you are giving birth or right after. My cousin had to do this.

Thank u all! he has two jobs so I shldnt have any problems getting support. I'm still in a state of shock he's acting this way especially at our age but age ain't nothing but a # right! I'm jus debating if I shld give her his last name or not.

Im almost in the same situation but I dont want the father around because he. is obsessive and abusive good luck with everything I hope it all works out in your favor but...I do know that if they get any ssi they will not take support out of their check my friend is in that situation now

You can get a dna test in the hospital right after your baby is born he has to be there for it you have to ask the dr and nurses in order to have it done

I hate when men do and say that. Sorry you have to put up with that. Wait till baby is born to file ors papers they will do a DNA test and as soon as it comes back he is the father he will have to pay child support from the moment you filed. Good luck.

My son father was with me till I was 3 and half months pregnant. He was the one that told my whole family and then dip out on us too go **** who ever he want he got me block on his phone he know I have had problems in my pregnancy and he don't care I will be 31 weeks Monday so has soon has my baby boy comes out in December I will be getting full custody and child support

Yes @ the hospital at birth they normally come in with all the paper work for the birth certificate,  n social security card.  U can ask them about paternity. N of he's there they can do it that day!!

You might want to call the social worker at the hospital to get her advice on DNA testing and support and signing the birth certificate,  etc.

Yep. Have to wait until child is born. A fetal paternity test is done by amniocentesis.. It does come with risk of miscarriage so I would until after birth.

I would just wait til the baby is born for paternity testing. I'm pretty sure they would have to do an amniocentesis, which has risks.  Child support yes the baby had to b born for that to start..

I'm pretty sure you can get a paternity test done as early as 7 weeks pregnant.  Child support however I don't think you can get until after the child is born but I could be wrong.
