I was wondering if I could get any suggestions on the fact that I am due for baby #2 on December 22 im scared im going to go in labor on Christmas eve/day and im a single mother I was wondering what I could do for my 8 year old who still believes in santa Claus and the thought of me not being there on Christmas morning is upsetting for me and her
Yea someone else said for me to bring the presents to the hospital and gave Christmas morning there and another said to hAve a couple of things from me and let her have Christmas morning with family but I like the idea of waiting to do it as a family
If you go into Labour on xmas eve or day, just take a present with you and your child can come visit and you can have a gift ready for him to open.
If you happen to not b home for Christmas you can just tell her that Santa has her gifts and will bring them on another day when everyone can be home as a family and that you will also have your family dinner that day as well.
I know this will probably sound odd and alot of work but do you think you could pack some of her presents in a 2nd hospital bag. Then you could pretend for her if you did go into labor on christmad that santa went there instead?
Glad to know im not the only one feeding this way! :-),im due dec 19 so theoretically should be np. Im worried bc im trying a vbac and doctor will not intervene until 41 weeks which puts me the day after Christmas. Also im afraid that the same reason I had a cesarean with my son will happen again and ill be hospital 3/4 days and not be home at all for Christmas depending when I go into b labor. Like im stressing the vbac itself and Christmas sob much at this point im second guessing the whole thing and today thought id just ask for a cesarean dec 15 be home well over a, week before Christmas abd be done with it plus my husband can take vacation that whole week to be with me and our 3 yr old. Idk what to do :-(
I feel the same way rbohl01 lol I dont like the fact this year will be different and I dont want her to feel like shes being put on a back burner
