Part of mine came out at 33.  It was like a giant glob of translucent yellow jello. Freaked me out.  But my midwife said it's normal.  The cervix produces a loooot of mucus.  My husband & I didnt have sex for a week just to be on the safe side (even though she didnt tell us not to).

My son was born at 33 weeks and spent 15 days in the NICU. When I lost my plug they put me on bed rest and gave me steroid shots to help the baby's lungs develop faster. He is now almost 8 and perfectly healthy.

I lost my mucus plug at 23 week's. And when I lost it is was chunky and thick but whitish. No blood or yellow tinge to mine. I had to go to the hospital ans have been on bed rest since. I am currently 29 weeks and my little man in still doing well :). This is also my first pregnancy.

(Tmi) I lost my plug at 32 weeks and my water broke 7 days later. It was chunky, yellow and had streaks of blood in it. I was also put on bed rest the day I lost mine and was on it until the day I delivered.

I've read it looks like snot..Some women lose it in pieces, some lose it as a chunk, but some don't lose it until their water breaks. You can lose it and your water NOT break for a week or longer, from what I've read. It may look yellow and be tinged by blood..I'm a FTM as well and I'm not sure what to expect and have not Google'd the image yet to know for positive. Again, just speculation.
