could there be two?

I am 28 weeks pregnant I have only gained 10lbs but look huge. The father is a twin so everyone keeps saying there's two. He is very low and estimated weight 2.8lbs so far. The doctor gave me a scare on a heart beat sound but nothing has came of it. Is it possible to not know about a twin this far out?

I have a very short torso so I was gigantic with my daughter and only gained 16lbs my whole pregnancy. Plus twins run on the mothers side not the fathers so even if your hubby was a twin it wouldn't matter.

People say you would know but sometimes doctors don't see the other baby behind the one you see ,so you could be having a twin ,like there has been people who ended up w/ two babies but the second one dies ,not meaning to scare you ,i just thought you should know ,if there is a twin hopefully he or she is healthy & beautiful :) & if you arent having twins be happy there's just one lol :)

I agree, you would know.  I'm carrying twins and I'm huge at 13 weeks (look like I'm 24), plus I haven't gained any weight yet. They would have seen something by now.

You would know by now if you are carrying twins. Plus, twins run on the females side only because the father is a twin doesn't guarantee you'll be pregnant with twins.

you would know by know.  they would have seen it at the detailed ultrasound.   Its not like our parents that didn't get ultrasounds unless something was wrong.    You would know but this point.

I Think they would know by now just from measuring and hearing the heartbeat. Have you had the 20 week anatomy scan yet? If there were twins they would definitely see it there. I started showing at 8 weeks and have had a huge belly the whole pregnancy, I'm a ftm , and there's only 1 in there! Some people just carry more forward then others.
