cryosurgery

I just found out im 5 weeks pregnant, unfortunately I had cryosurgery performed 20 days before I got pregnant n now im worried about my pregnancy. My doctor is away on vacation n I've gone to different places to get answers but since im so early they cant tell me how the baby is doing. My family have suggested to end the pregnancy before I get "too attached" since we have no idea what the outcome will be n at the beginning I agreed but now im having second thoughts....anyone familiar with this or any word of advise?

5 weeks is to early to see much of anything on an ultrasound.
My main worry would not having had a clear pap after the surgery, if it were incomplete or any comes back - treatment during pregnancy would be extremely risky if at all possible.

The cryofreeze shouldn't affect your ability to carry a baby. They only freeze the surface of the cervix. The Cone or Leep procedure has more risk of miscarriage as they remove parts of the cervix. I wouldn't worry about it.

I had a cryo in 1999. I've had 5 successful pregnancies since. I didn't get pregnant right away though. However, I did get pregnant one week after a laparoscopy for a ectopic pregnancy. I carried the baby to term and he's a healthy 8 year old. I would take ^^ advice. Don't terminate it. Just wait and see. I bet your baby will be fine.

Google for once seems to say all should b fine once uv passed the safe period there's no more risk than with any other pregnancy u just may have to have a csection if the surgery was done in ur vaginal area, baby's are a gift. . I'd say give it a chance.. One day at a time :)

You know how they say if you dont miscarry after 9 wks everything will usually be ok? Wait that period of time and see what happens.
