I'm on my second child as well my first will be nine before my son is born all she does is talk about how she loves him and will teach him everything but she has had her days when she acts out which she never has before so everytime I buy the baby something I get her something too I keep her updated on everything and now she's even more happier she hasn't acted out in over a month and she even gives my belly kisses everyday now so just make sure your son doesn't feel left out or thinking I'm not going to be her baby anymore tell him you'll have two babies now

My 9yr old is thrilled, but my 4yr old is not quite so happy once she realised she may not get the sister she wants and might have a little brother instead...but she loves seeing the pictures and loves laying on my belly.

My 4 year old has been very excited she was the one who told me I was pregnant almost from conception and that it was a boy. Everything we buy her baby brother has to pass her inspection and she is so anxious fo. Him to aarrive. She gives my belly kisses and enjoys feeling him kick but there have been changes in behavior like she is whiny and will cry over the smallest thing at times she can be very clingy and needy she has gotten kind of mean and just will not listen to nobody at home. Just lucky her behavior has been normal at school.

I have a 3 year old daughter and she was the same to begin with but when I could actually feel baby kick outside my tummy and she got to feel it she was very excited. Try and involve him in picking things like clothes blankets etc that's what I have done even took her to mothercare with us to help pick our buggy and swinging cradle.
Hope everything turns out good for you and he won't be too jealous
