membrane stripping

I am having my membranes stripped Wednesday. I'll be 38 weeks four days. Plus ate tons of pineapple tonight lol. What are your experiences with membrane stripping? Did it work for you? If it doesn't work I'll be induced the following Wednesday. :)

Im on baby #4 and had the membrane sweep on 3 previous pregnancies and i was in labour a few hours later on all so worked great for me,i was a week overdue on all when i had it done so that probably helped me too...good luck

Unfortunately it only works about half the time. Most women end up getting it done twice and even then it still might not work. It all depends on if your body is ready.

With my first baby i had them scraped twice and went into labor the next day after second scraping.  With second baby i had them scraped once and went into labor next day (i had alot of sex after all scrapings as well)  with this baby i had them scraped friday its now sunday and nothing yet!  Ive even been having sex every night since....im breaking out the castor oil tonight!  Lol
