11 weeks can't find heartbeat on sonoline b doppler

Hi ladies! I recently purchased a Sonoline b doppler and tried 3 times for about 30 minutes each to find my baby's heartbeat with no luck.I could hear my blood vessels and swooshing sounds, but that's it. I looked up YouTube videos, read books, etc. I know I'm not supposed to panic and assume something is wrong, but did this happen to anyone else?

Its really hard to find early on when you know where to look.  So i wouldn't even worry about it.  I think that having a monitor at home will actually cause you to worry more.

Thanks ladies! Feel a little better now. .I also have an appointment with a midwife tomorrow morning so I will talk to her about it.. And Hopefully they will let me hear the heartbeat for reassurance:)

At my 13 week appointment doctors had a really hard time finding the heat beat with the doppler. They eventually found it but baby is so small and deep within your pelvic area. To me it felt like they were pushing hard and stabbing me with it. But I'm sure as baby gets bigger and isn't so deep within you'll be able to hear the heart beat a lot better. So don't worry :)

Try really low down by your pubic hair line or right above it. Those are really tricky to use and baby is still very small.i almost got one and heard how hard they can be to use and that using them a lot can be bad for baby. Good luck, i love the idea of being able t hear your baby when you want to. I hope you can get it to work!!
