I dont have anything to compare it to since im pregnant with my second. But I was induced with my first and was able go do it without any pain meds or any help.
I was induced and the first hour or 2 it wasn't anymore painful than period cramps. I recommend you rest in the beginning and just have that time to yourself. When the contractions started to get worse I got the epidural. In my case, I still felt a lot of pain especially in my back. The only thing that comforted me was my husband massaging my back non stop. I kept pushing the button connected to the epidural every 20 minutes but I don't think you should do that. I feel that maybe thats why my labor took 19 hrs since my water broke naturally to when my baby was delivered through emergency csection bc my labor stopped at 8 cm
I was induced with my second and thought it was a lot more painful labor than my first had been. My mom on the other hand was induced with her third and didn't think it was any more painful. It's different for everyone. Best wishes for you and baby!!!
I was induced with my first and i was in the hospital for a little over 18 hrs. The contractions didnt feel bad at first but after a while they were painful so i got the epidural. When my baby was ready to come out i didnt feel any pain i just felt like i had to go number 2 really bad and lots of pressure.
In summary, I enjoyed (if that's possible) my induced labor more than my natural labor.
I was induced with cervidil. I don't know if it hurt more than the labor I entered naturally, but I do know I was well rested before induction, whereas with my natural start I was severely over tired. The labor was a lot shorter, too (six and a half hours, as opposed to almost thirteen. However, I have heard induction by the drip is tough.
