Did they ever suggest reduction? I just had an appointment and said was an increase in fluid but last week was a minor decrease.....
It's was 18 at 34 weeks and 25 at 39 weeks
Lip and palate would have been checked at the fetal anatomy survey. It is required to document the lip and palate at that time. You probably have what is called polyhydramnios of unknown etiology (cause). What is your amniotic fluid index (AFI)?
Ok thank u so much.. cleft lip has never been checked.. but is stomach is visual.
Most cases of excessive fluid, called polyhydramnios, have no identifiable cause. Yes, often associated with gestational diabetes. Polyhydramnios can also be caused by swallowing issues such as those caused by cleft lip/palate. If cleft has been ruled out and fluid is mildly elevated but stable, no worries. If the baby's stomach can be visualized on ultrasound, that is proof the baby is swallowing.
Yes, I have this. It could be from several causes likegestational diabetes or some problems with the baby ... or just nothing. In my case all seems ok. So I just wait. And pray for healthy baby
