My doctor said it is safe to exercise, just nothing where you have to lay on your back for long periods of time. Don't overdue it. Walking and eating healthy are perfect.
I'm in the same boat 5'1 and 165-170 I.didn't lose the weight from my son now 1 so I want to lose a lil weight to but I'm not going to start until I'm out of the miscarriage stage then I'll be walking n light.situps.. but don't over due anything especially if u didn't exercise prior
I work out 3 days a week for 1 hour. I walk uphill fast and just focus on my legs and arms. No pushing or ab work. I'm fine :)
Just be careful on working out don't over do anything at an early stage of pregnancy. It could cause a miscarriage. I waited until I was in second trimester to workout. Go for walks its summer time so best get your outdoor walking in now
I would walk for 20 minutes a day until that first visit. Also you mentioned choking down healthy food. I think if you have to choke it down, it may be time to start recipe hunting to find some healthy foods you DO like.
The problem is my doctor doesn't want me to come in for my 1st visit until 8 weeks along.
I agree walking is great. Also prenatal yoga. I got a DVD that takes you through all 3 trimesters.
Talk to your doctor. Walking is allowed and deffinatly good for baby. But if you didn't exercise prior to being pregnant talk to your doctor about what is allowed.
