fearing the worst... is it Normal??

I'm almost 23 weeks and I catch myself from time to time thinking about how I would handle the news and what I would do if thr next time I go to the doctor they can not find a heartbeat. Is this normal??? My husband and I and nd re beyond excited about our little bundle of joy, so I don't know why I sometimes think or imagine myself in and nd re scenario where the doctor is giving us such bad news... and now it has me almost nervous to the point where what if I'm thinking this stuff because it'd gonna happen??

I am also 23 weeks & have had that fear from the beginning! I am a worrywort by nature & I try to calm it by reminding myself that everything has been absolutely fine so far & imagining having a healthy delivery & baby! My worries will subside more after she's about 4-5 months old & I can actually sleep again lol but I think definitely as first time moms we are just extra anxious for everything to be ok, its all so new & we hear horror stories...its totally normal for the brain to play out worst case scenario situations. Just relax, remind yourself that all is well & put those happy thoughts into action!! Positive thoughts=positive energy for you & your little one!!

Yea youre playing out a fear.. At 23 week's the chance is small so try not to worry but just fyi I think it's kinda normal not to think thoughts like this sometimes because nothing in life is guaranteed.
I usually just end a thought like that with thinking if anything ever did happen I would handle it then and know id find the strength to overcome it so there's no point in dwelling in the what if.
