feeling defeated

So I'm two days over due and feeling totally defeated. I really set expectations that my son would come on or before his due date, due to family member constantly telling me i wasn't going to make it to September 12th after looking at my belly and knowing how emotionally draining my third trimester has been due to my boyfriend health issues.

I'm extremely tired and at the point that I'm sleeping sitting up. I had some contractions that were consistent for 3hrs and just stopped. I'm totally pooped and wondering why my son don't want to show his face already?

Exactly the reason why peoples predictions about my baby made me so agitated. It puts an idea in your head and you sorta get disappointed.
Dont lose heart. Contractions make you feel like maybe its soon but prelabor can take all day or a few days. When you can no longer do housework or concentrate on talking to others, thats when its really time to go. Prelabor is pretty exciting though! You look forward to going in! Keep taking walks to bring in those contractions .

Sometimes they just dont :).  Chin up he will make his exit soon either on his own or your doc will induce you before too long I would think.  I went a week overdue with my first and was induced.  He was a happy healthy baby and thats what matters in the end!  You can try walking... and walking and walking.  Sometimes that helps!
