fetal monitoring

Starting fetal monitoring every two weeks for an hour. I never had to go through this before with my other two. Does anyone know why they normally suggest this?

Yes, I was diagnosed a year ago, but since I been pregnant my blood pressure has been oddly normal. Bottom number between 78-80. That actually maybe why.

How many weeks were u when u started going? I am currently 30 wk and 4 days. I haven't any contractions yet or not any that I could really be concerned with.

I did it once a week with my last pregnancy to monitor contractions. She also had me do kick counts while I was there. For me it started because I ended up sick in hospital and was having contractions, which they stopped, but had to be monitored after that.
