WIC

Signed up for wic today and got my vouchers today!!  So I spoke with a nutritionist and she told me I am gaining too much weight at one time..she kept asking if I was sure I was 14 weeks..I'm like yesssss.. So she told me to try to spread my weight out..as in not gain so much at one time..smh I was 116 now I am 130..and I am 14 weeks... Is that drastic?? I don't even see the weight on me..lol

Wic employees are not doctors! But they have to suggest advice to people. But if they don't know your whole medical situation then they can't treat you like they treat the next person. So basically if your Dr says you're fine then don't worry about it.

Don't pay wic any mind my dr thinks they have no clue what they are talking about! I'm underweight and they had me do weight checks and iron checks come to find out my doc was like your fine I'm not worried. So as long as your doc say your ok then your good!

They have to provide you with what they believe is best going by what is written in books not by real life experiences

I would not worry about what WIC says but what your doctor thinks. And be prepared, they are annoying if your child ends up on the small side or larger side of the scale. My middle child was 34 lbs at 4 and they tried to tell me she was malnourished and that I was doing a poor job with balancing her meals. But her pediatrician said that she is right on track with how she has been since birth.

If you were at a healthy weight for your height prior to pregnancy,  it is recommended that you gain 25 to 35 pounds for your whole pregnancy.  Gaining too much weight can be harmful to you and your unborn baby. Don't stress, or try to diet, just eat healthy, the majority of your plate should be veggies.
