brown spotting

Hi all! I recently found out I'm pregnant (about 4.5 weeks along) and have been having daily spotting (brown not red) when I pee and once or twice at random during the day. My first two pregnancies ended in misscarriages so I'm hopeful this one will stick. Anyway, I had this type of spotting with all three of them so far and was wondering if anyone out there had a similar experience where things turned out ok?? Thanks.

Since you've had 2 miscarriages, you might consider asking to have your progesterone levels checked. If it's low, it could be a cause of miscarriage. They can have you supplement until the placenta starts making it around 10-12 weeks. I took supplements from 6 weeks to 12 weeks, and I'm now 32 weeks.

Thanks. I had implantation bleeding about a week before I should have stared my period (i thought it was just starting early at the time) so that definitely happened. Brown blood = old blood is good to keep in mind too. No use going to the doctor early. I learned the first two times that whatever is going to happen will happen whether I stress about it or not, so I'm working on being positive. Glad to hear I'm not the only one at least :) To me that means at least there is a fighting chance.

Im 12 weeks no and my dr told me in the beggining that if I get brown spotting it's just old blood or implantation bleeding. Might be good to check it out just to be safe and not stress yourself out

I have had spotting the whole time so far and even some bright red blood with a clot and went to the doctor and they said my baby has attached and has a heartbeat but I do have a subchorionic hematoma. I have even been cramping and they told me it was completely normal also. Just take it easy, rest, stay hydrated. Hope this pregnancy goes well for you.
