Oh my goodness ladies, last night and most of the day yesterday I had incredibly painful heartburn.. tums is not working.. as I was laying in bed last night, trying to sleep, my heartburn was so incredibly bad it literally felt like I was having a heart attack.. and it kept coming in repeated sessions over and over again. It was so painful I thought I was going into labor, but I have been in labor and knew contractions wouldn't be in my upper chest area.. lol I almost woke hubby up to go to er.. anyone have heartburn like this before or know how I can ease my pain??

Be careful if it continues,  I had that and ended up being preeclampsia.  My bp was high and they admitted me today.

I thought i had had crazy heartburn at about 5 weeks pregnant.  I compared it to natural childbirth too!  but the pain didnt rise above my breast bone aside from radiating pain.  I ended up in emerge as i took the maximum amount of tums etc for heartburn and the pain was so crazy intense i was having trouble breathing. Turned out i was having a gallbladder attack and not heartburn. Thankfully they were able to calm itdown enough that it Didn't have to come out right then.  I am scheduled to have it removed once my little guy gets here and am on a strick diet until then. Almost 28 weeks now.  Just watch that the pain actually comes up your throat to make sure it is indeed heartburn. And if the pain isnt coming up your throat then mention it to your doctor.  I have no remedies to help other than lots and lots of cold lemon  water.  Hopefully the pain goes away soon.
