Taking young children swimming 27 weeks pregnant

I am a pre-school teacher and have to get in the water with up to 12 children who are aged 3-4 to help them learn to swim. I asked if after Christmas I could not go and swap with someone because I will be 31 weeks. It's a horrible small cold swimming pool. I am scared I'm going to slip or one of the kids will kick me in the tummy I struggle to get in and out and hate getting changed quickly to go and the help the children get dressed. They told me no I must still go there's nothing wrong me I'm not sick and haven't got an illnesses I'm just pregnant, your the same as everyone else don't be lazy!! This has really anoyyed me. Is this right ? Should I just get on with it or fight my corner? X

If you're uncomfortable with it (which I would be too!) Have your doctor write you a note. My job is super physical and I had to have my Dr write me lifting restrictions...they're usually very happy to write you a note for work

Pretty sure your doctor would easily give you a letter for safety. Those other people sound like jerks.

They need to realize you can't do the dame things as before. If one of those angels kicks you the wrong way the day care could have a possible law suit! I know I would fight it!
