At least Im not the only 1 goin thru this altho i wouldnt wish it on any 1. Hope it gets easier 4 both of us 2 x
Oh my gosh your question is the same exact question I had lol my almsot 4 yr old is doing the ssame thing. He's very excited even kisses my stomach but then ignores everything and is talking back and all kinds of stuff. At least he's still doing good in daycare lol good luck and I hope it gets easier for both of us once the babies are here!
I no think things r getting on top of me more now coz my mum used 2 help me alot and would mind her 2 give me a break but she was diagnosed with lung cancer in Feb this yr which has been hard on all of us + being pregnant with hormones all over the place x
I think its just her being a 3 year old, testing you and testing her boundries. It can definitly be frustrating!
Thanks 4 responding so quick girls. I do tend 2 take a step back and breathe when i feel things r getting 2 me, don't really agree with spanking n i wouldn't do that 2 her but i have tried taking privileges away but it hasn't worked so far. We have been giving her treats like decorating her room n stuff just 2 make her feel special b4 baby comes I'm hoping it will pass n she will go back 2 normal soon x
I work with 2 year olds for a living. And now that im preggers they can really drive me up the wall sometimes. I often have to step back. Take a deep breath and reapproach the situation. Have you heard of maslows hierarchy of needs? You may want to look that up. It may help you fogure out why she is acting out. She may just be simply looking for some clear unemotional boundries to be set. This is how we act period. If you dont want to thats ok. This is the consequense of your choice end of discussion. Whether is a spanken or time out or loss of a privilage. I just recommend makingIit swift and immediate so the get the picture. Then you can move on. It may take a few days but she will catch on.
Even though she is excited to be a big sister, she may be a bit jealous. Try keeping a stash of cheap gifts for when new baby stuff comes in. That has worked in the past for my kids. Good luck
