With my first we got a pregnancy body pillow that conforms to your pregnant belly and it was amazing! A little pricey (around $50) but so worth it. I am a stomach sleeper and obviously can't do that while pregnant but being able to have the support under my head and between my knees gave me some relief when sleeping on my sides. Or when sleeping on my back I would fold the pillow in half so it curved around the back of my knees and gave them just a little lift...saved my back so much pain!

Definitely a body pillow (i have 2, one in front and one in back).. and a pillow between your knees will help with your hips.. i hate to say it but it doesn't get any easier the bigger your belly gets.. but you'll find little tricks here and there.. Also don't eat or drink anything for 2 hrs before bed and eliminate as much stimulation as possible, ex: turn off tv or radio and lights, and talk to other people in your household about your difficulty sleeping.. they may be willing to work harder to keep things to a minimum while your resting..

*sorry. Tips, i meant to type in too: I tried many things to sleep... Online tips etc. I found drinking warm Ovaltine with milk put me down to dreamsville. Although, I'd wake up a few hours later like normal (ugh) that did seem to help

Oh man! I dont even know where to begin with that issue lol. First AND second trimester... Sleep?? What sleep?? Sure I had tons of naps when I could but everything to do with a sleeping pattern, forget about it. The good news = it seemed to straightened itself out when I hit third trimester. Which is a  bit odd, but Ill take it! Lol
