Hi ladies, I'm 7 weeks pregnant and this is my 1st baby. Do you girls know why we are not allowed to eat ice cream???

Yes, it's the soft serve ice cream you should steer clear of due to listeria. Shop bought pasturized ice cream is fine. I'm 7 weeks as well.

I ate ice cream when I was pregnant with my daughter and she was born strong and healthy.  I never heard that u can't.  I think as long as u eat it in moderation, everything will fine. And congrats on your pregnancy. It's an amazing feeling.

My sister ate a ton of ice  cream during her 2nd and 3rd pregnancies. I ate a lot too during my first.

Unless there is a health issue, I'm sure it is okay to have ice cream and of course milk. We need our calcium !  Talk to your OB about it.

It's soft serve that they want you to be worried about.  It has to do with the machines not being cleaned properly and causing listeria. But I had ice cream and still do, even soft serve from DQ.

I was told I have to drink 3 glasses of milk a day by my ob,not to say what mine says means everything, but I wouldn't take that advise from that dr. That's crazy talk. They say prego women crave ice cream and pickels so no ice cream or milk.... that's some weird advice.

That's what i said. I just got out the hospital cause I had bad pain near my ovaries and got a little scared. Doctor said baby is OK n heat beat was fine. And than he mentioned no milk no ice cream. I don't have a obgyn yet till wed. That I have my appointment to apply for it. I was. Very confused.

I never heard of that who did u hear that from I ate ice cream all the time and still do almost every time the ice cream truck comes around and I'm 33 weeks pregnant it's too yummy to pass up
