indian names that exist abroad

as a swiss national living in london and of Indian origin, we've decided to give our baby an Indian name that also exists or is easy to pronounce / spell in other cultures.

We've chosen Tara, for our baby girl, which in india means Star.

however, if it happens to be a boy, I like the names Ram, Taj or Dilip. what do you think of these names?

Do you know other Indian names that are popular in the west?

Thanks ladies  :-)

I like Taj the most out of the boy names... For female names, I know a Raj, and a Radica over here on the West Coast of the US.

I think it's nice you want to honour your roots but keep it modern. I love the name Tara.

thank you ladies ... I didn't know that some of these names (Damian, Devan or Kaylan) were indian!  and then again some of these new generation names (sanskrit, sampad) are a little long and hard to pronounce I think.

any more suggestions?

In my opinion Ram, Taj or Dilip.are quite old names. I like name Tara for a baby girl. For baby boys , sampad, sanskrit, Anant, raman, etc are used in younger generation
