is peppermint oil safe

Hey girls so for the past few weeks ive been rubbing some peppermint oil (100% pure) on my temples and such for my headaches. Well tonight I woke up with a bad one in bed so I sat up and put some on, well clumsy me in my half sleep dropped it and a good amount spilled on my bump! Now that area of skin is tingling/burning a decent amount. I know oils get mixed reviews but do you girls think my baby is ok?
Nothing "inside" hurts it's just my skin.

Im only 18 weeks so I should be safe with both of these concerns and I do hope my horrible headaches are gone by then! I will keep it in mind just in case though.

It can also induce labor if you seen careful. my dr recommended i stop using it in my third trimester

It should be fine. My only advice about peppermint oil is to stop using it when you get close to delivery. It can make so your breast milk wont come in.

I'm sure the baby is ok, Peppermint is suppose to be tingley and feel funny. I have face mask/wash that  that does the same thing.
