itchy
I just recently turned 24 weeks with my fourth child and I'm trying to find out if anyone has ever suffered from extreme hive like itching but with no rash and if so is this serious? I've tried benadryl but it's not helping at all.
I went to the doctor today and found out it may be cholestasis but I have to wait for the results to come back. The night time itching is horrible.
I had cholestasis of pregnancy with my son and I itched like crazy. Especial at night and in my lower legs. I would mention it next time you see your doctor just to be sure. I wasn't diagnosed properly and my don ended up in the ICU afyer he was born with acute liver failure. Hopefully it is just dry skin. Keep hyrdrated and use a thicker based lotion (such as a body butter).
Lots of pregnant women experience itchy skin. Make sure you're using lots of lotion! (An unscented one). Could help with prevention of stretch marks as well.

I was super itchy for weeks and just had a blood test done and found out my liver isnt funtioning properly and I am now getting induced next week so I would bring it up to your doctor!
I am 24w5d and so itchy. My think my skin is just drying out bad. I do not have hives or anything either and nothing seems to work.
