membrane sweep

I am 39 weeks today with my second baby and my mw did a membrane sweep this morning and I feel absolutely nothing still just period like cramps. I never had it done with my first one can anyone tell me if they had any luck with one?

So far it's done nothing but give me intense cramps but not bad enough to go in:( I was hoping it'd kick start something since I've been sitting at 3cm for three weeks and contracting for a month now:/

I had it done twice now n still nothing. First time I had cramps for two days, second didn't even last 5 hrs. If the body is not ready, it may not work. Good luck with yours!!! Keep us posted.

I got it done with my second  baby it didn't work for the first time and second time midwife use very rough hands lol and it worked I started have crams which I was having for two weeks on and off and I thought nothing of that and kept shopping as my hubby had to go out of country so came home they gone worse in 5 hours and I want to hospital had my baby girl next morning took her good 16 hours to show up lol

When I had a membrand sweep with my last pregnancy it didn't do anything. I think it might have made me a little cranky if I remember correctly. But I didn't have my son until 3 or 4 days later. Sorry if that's disappointing news!

I was so looking forward to getting my sweep yday as I thought something might happen and then she couldn't reach my womb and that was that , gs raging I was lol But I did hear it can take a couple b4 they work
