I do the same job and there is a such thing as light duty... the are suppose to change your run to something that is not so heavy or change the heavy patients with other nursing assistant... so you need to talk to the dsd about it and ask the doctor to give you a modify duty... I am only 12wks and I am offered light duty already

If there is no light duty then they can suspend you from work on full pay. I know that's how it works where I live. Basically if anything were to happen to you for baby as a result of them making you perform your normal duties as if you weren't pregnant then you could sue them. For a lot. And they would be found as negligent in their duty of care

I'm a nursing assistant and my job is constantly lifting and pulling and tugging on patients. Not to mention constantly walking all night. I have a doctor appt Friday. Maybe he will suggest whats best. This is my first child so I just don't want anything to happen. I'm also high risk. My job told me that there is no light duty so I'm just confused.

I don't know what kind of job you have but your boss has a legal duty of care to ensure that you and baby aren't put at risk while at work. If you've been in the hospital once then your boss obviously isn't taking this duty of care seriously.
You are entitled to regular breaks, to sit down when you need to and plenty of other things.
I'm going to be starting my mat leave when I am exactly 38w. But here in Wales your Midwife can sign you off from work early of there is a medical reason you shouldn't be there. Hope it gets a little better for you and you manage to make it a few more week

Every night I work I leave about to cry from pain. Can barely walk. My job can get pretty strenuous so I don't want to over do it. I've already been in the hospital once. They said I was probably over doing it at work. I have 9 weeks left. I hope I can make it atleast 5 more weeks

I would check with your boss or human resource people about how early you can turn your paperwork in for leave. I turned mine in 60 days prior to my due date because I was allowed to do that.

If I leave early I get less time with baby so I'll go until it comes out.  I can be put on light duty.
