mothers that used a breast pump?

Any information you can give on your experience using a breast pump? I herd manual ones are a pain and electric ones are better, but is it really worth the extra money? Also does it make your nipple sore from the suction similar to breast feeding?

I used the Avent manual pump with my first and it was a pain. Breastfeeding feeding didn't last long with him. With my daughter I used the Avent single electric and it was amazing! Breast fed 13 months and had so much frozen milk I was giving it to friends that weren't producing. My hubby wanted me to start selling it....lol. I'm pregnant with my 3rd and bought another Avent single electric for her. I think it is well worth the money.

I loved my electric breast pump. I think it was so worth the money. I puumped after every feeding but i think that the baby feeding made my nipples more sore then the pump.

The electric pumps (in my opinion) are the best ones. Manauls will hurts not only your hands but nipples to. I didnt have any problems.
