I called my dr and asked her if it would affect me and she said normally it shouldn't just need to let someone eles take care of him for while... well I can't pawn my sick kid off on someone eles. I'm not even sure I have it.. anyone have it while pregant I'm still worried even though they assured me I'd be fine

And there are no antibiotics for mono, its a viral infection. If you take antibiotics you'll just end up with a really cool rash.

Most adults have already had mono, even if you don't realize it. I got tested a few years back cuz I had mono like symptoms and my labs showed that I had a past infection and I never even knew. So shouldn't be too much to worry about

I do. My doctor told me not to worry at all because the worst symptom is being extremely tired. My boyfriend gave it to me because he has to share certain things through his marine training camp.... only thing is i cant take the antibiotics. But im pretty much fine

At least get a friend or relative to help you so you can try to limit your exposure while your child is ill. Mono can be dangerous for all ages and there is no reason to put yourself at higher risk if you can help it.
