natural labor after c-sections

I've had 2 c-sections one 9 years ago and my second 7 years ago. I've recently been hearing a lot about vbacs but get mixed information. I've always felt cheated by not being able to experience natural child birth and I wasn't sure of maybe this was an option. Can anyone give me any kind of information on this?

I'm in the same boat. I've had 2 c-sections, 12 and 9 years ago. I'm going to try to have this one vaginally. After talking with my Dr about why I had the c-sections and him reviewing my chart he said we could wait and see what my body does. I'm super excited because I really don't want to have another c-section.

They did horizontal cuts for my c sections and the only reason I got a c section is because my daughter turned from being head down to sideways and because I was in labor for 22 hours they decided to do a c section. For my son they kind of just told me I was going to have a c section cause I had a previous one and I didn't know any better

You're welcome. My Dr said if the incision on my uterus had been vertical then I wouldn't be a candidate. The reason for the c-section plays a part too. I had my first one because I wasn't progressing and then the babys heart rate dropped and then with the second one I feel like I was kinda
pushed into having by that Dr. Really happy I found the Dr I did for this pregnancy. He really listens to me.

Thats what I keep telling him Hahaha men just dont get it lol thank you tomorrow for your insight.... Nat I know some doctors are completely against doing a vbac and I'm not really sure why from what I read its no more dangerous than a c section or a first time vaginal birth

I think they just offer you one as it is easy option. You should make it clear that you don't want one unless it is absolutely nesessary.

Talk it over with your Dr. It won't hurt to explore your options and if your Dr thinks it is a safe possibility then you can bring it up to your husband. C-sections are major surgery and come with risk as well.

I really don't want another one myself... people call me weird but I really want to experience vaginal child birth.... I haven't spoke to my doctor yet because my husband is kind of?against it only because he is really worried something might happen to me... I was diagnosed a year and a half ago with psoratic arthritis and he is worried my body won't be able to handle the vaginal birth
