I'm about 7 weeks pregnant and i feel a constant queasiness in the center of my stomach. i feel like i'm constantly on the edge of throwing up, sometimes close to the edge and sometimes a further away, depending on the moment. i'm not actually throwing-up but i'm wondering if that would give me some relief? sometimes i can burp but that doesn't really do much to ease the nausea. my belly is also feeling the way it does after thanksgiving dinner... like i've eaten too much and it's calling out to me for attention. also the nausea feels a bit like hunger. but food isn't that appealing when i'm making it, then i'm starving when it's actually in front of me, and find myself shoveling it down... then feeling sick afterwards. i don't feel like going anywhere or seeing anybody... just want to curl up in bed with my nausea and my upset/growing belly. Should this be happening this early?

I think I could have written this exact post! I'm 6 weeks in and feel exactly the same. Full after I eat, then all of a sudden famished and nauseous, like if I I don't eat I'm going to faint. And then nauseous again, constantly. And bloated and gross. And apparently it's normal. YUCK!

Well it looks like we're in for a rough haul. I am also having severe breast tenderness along with soreness of the nipples. Do you feel the same? I have to turn away from the water while in the shower because it hurts. I know this is normal, just wanted to see if you felt the same?

This just started about a week ago. I went through a stage of eating everything to now of eating very little because of sickness.

I'm 36 weeks now and thats is exactly what I felt in the beginning and I actually had times when I would get sick. One time I was on the floor in front of the toilet calling my husband crying because I was tired of being sick..it was rough. I got prescribed some nausea medicine (zophran, Promethazine) and it helped quite a bit. It got better during the second trimester just hang in there.

I'm experiencing the same so I feel for you! I'm in my 8th week and I've been really sick for 10 days now. It's started out as mild nausea but now I am feeling severe nausea from the moment I wake up, to when I go to sleep. I've had some vomiting and lots of heaving every day. I can't stand to cook food because the smell makes me feel ill, yet I feel hungry. I have tried remedy after remedy and nothing works for me. I have been prescribed promethazine but because I had 2 miscarriages last year, I am scared of the risks and haven't taken them. I feel like crying every day. I just want the sickness to stop. I have been signed off work for the next 4 weeks and been told to rest up.
Just some advice, actually vomiting doesn't provide relief - in fact, I feel worse after throwing up. All I can recommend is bland food. Nothing acidic, spicy or fatty. I am living on a diet of weetabix with milk, dry toast and mashed potato with a bit of gravy. It doesn't hurt coming back up and doesn't burn your throat! I have been told it's normal to feel this way and I dread every morning because I know what lies ahead. A full day of yet again, trying to ease the sickness and count down the hours until bedtime.

Thank you ladies! This helps a lot that I'm not the only one going through this or have gone through it. I'm hoping it calms down when I hit my 2nd trimester in a month. Sickness doesn't really run in my family while pregnant, but I have always been the different one lol.

Glad this thread came up again! I forgot to mention thag eating lemons raw helped a lot with the nausea. I had even started to buy pure lemon juice, freshly squeezed to help with it too. Try buying some lemons and sucking on them.

Mine just sort of stopped a few days ago.. these are the things that helped.. dont drink fluids with ur meal.. drink them before or after. Dont eat too much.. eat half of what u would usually eat and go back to it later.. chew ur favorite gum, drink ginger ale.. try not to lay down after eating.. I suffered soooo bad.. and prayed.. Lol im 10 weeks now and its gotten alot better.. I wish u the best!!

Im a ftm and also 7 weeks and going through the exact same thing. I can't wait until I can enjoy my pregnancy versus this 24/7 sick feeling. I also agree that sucking on raw lemons eased the upset stomach/ nausea feeling. I keep a bag in my fridge.

Hi ladies, I'm also a ftm, almost 8 weeks. I'm experiencing the exact same things as well. I tried the vitamin b6 that didn't work, nor did my nausea get better throughout the day. I finally called my doctor and they put me in Reglan, it's been helping a lot and it doesn't cause constipation!!!

I'm almost 38 weeks now but I was so sick like this in the beginning that I lost 14 pounds. I have only gained 10 of it back. I had to take zofran just to ease it up enough to get through the day. My morning sickness started to ease up around 14 weeks.

Just remember if you are throwing up your making your body dyhydrated. Which isnt good, for you or bubs. Ive got extreme all day sickness plus a medical condition where i faint! Maybe try breaking your meals down instead of 3 means try 5 a few extra small meals (clear soups aka chicken has all the good stuff in it so if you are sick some still stays in) also try sucking on hydrolights when you feel like you want to throw up, it actually can reduce it from happening plus line your stomach as you dont want bial (however you spell it coming up) and go see your doctor maybe your lucky enough to take tablets to help!
