need tips for gaining weight

I'm 14 weeks and for some reason am having trouble gaining weight and eating enough. I don't have much of an appetite. I'm not sick though so I don't get it. I'm already 30 lbs over weight, but I just need tips to gain something, cause I haven't gained a pound and I'm 14 weeks. What  should I  do about this besides force myself to eat more, oh and when I do that I get full so quick, if I eat  anymore then that I feel sick

I'm 31days away from my due date. And my midwife told me last week that if I was 100lbs to start shed be concerned but I'm little over weight also when I started. I've lost 28lbs so far but baby is healthy. She's not concerned about it.  Mention it to ur dr to get a peace of mind about it but I'm sure they will say it's okay. :)  good luck

Yeah sometimes the books can freak me out too, but I still like them more then the internet! When you go to your next appointment, bring up your concern to your doctor or midwife and see what they say. But as long as you are being healthy everything should be fine :)

Yea if ppl look at me and I tell them I haven't gained any weight they laugh. I look like I've gained 10 to 15 lbs as well and literally none of my pants fit, I have one pair of shorts that fit me. I'm carrying all in the front not to mention I also carry my extra weight in the front to, so I look huge. Thanks ladies for your input, this made me feel better the stupid baby book scared me and said that women who don't gain enough weight are more likely to have preterm labor so I was freaking out.

Dont worry about the weight gain. Like most ladies already said before me as long as baby is healthy and growing good you just need to concentrate in keeping a healthy diet and good exercise. Being a little overweight if u are eating healthier you may be pron to actually lose weight. Your baby is really tiny right now and doesnt even weight 1pound.

My bmi was right on track pre pregnancy, im currently 26 + 5days pregnant. I had originally gained 4lbs but lost it and back to my original weight. I was worried at first but my son mesures right on track and hes healthy and moving like crazy. I know for a fact ive been more diligent with my diet since i got pregnant which is probably why i havent gained anything. And trust me! Im all baby in the front. Ive got a good size belly and its a tough one. Most people would assumed ove gained atleast 10lbs lol

Your baby has an instinct of survival and will take everything it needs and leave you with whatever it didnt want lol good luck momma! And remember to always voice your concerned with ur dr. They will be able to answer all your fears and questions :)

Dont worry so much. When I first found out I was pregnant, I lost 10 lbs in the first week. But as time went on, I would gain about 1 lb every 4 weeks. Im currently 29 weeks 4 days n only have gained 15 lbs. Ull gain most of ur babys weight ur last trimester. So keep up the good work n rest as much as possible. Lots of luck!!

I was a little over weight to start with and am now 27 weeks and only gained 7lbs, my midwife is not worried, she says as long as my baby is growing properly than me not gaining very much is just fine.

Unless your doctor mentions something about it, don't force yourself to gain weight. I'm forty pounds overweight, have been all my life, and I've lost weight with this pregnancy. My doctor says not to worry because I have extra weight already. So if the aren't worried, don't worry yourself, just eat healthy and keep up with your stretches/exercises and you'll be fine :)

i wouldnt worry about your weight gain during this period. Your baby will definitely have a growth spurt in the last trimester, Also I want to point out that since you're 30lbs overweight pre-pregnancy and currently not putting on much weight is probably better for you and the baby. Be sure to voice your concerns at your next drs appt. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

I wouldn't worry about it yet unless your Dr is concerned. I'm 16 weeks and I'm down half pound from my first appt at 6wks. I lost 4.5 lbs in my first trimester and I've put 4 back on.
