they give u anestetic and a spinal block. my sis had hers done and the baby poooped she started crying cuz she couldnt get up to change it and had to call nurse
To answer the third question, there have been cases where the tubes (or one tube) was able to reconnect, but that is not very common. If you have the method where the tube is clipped, cauterized, and folded back and stitched, it should not come open later. I think the failure rate for tubal ligation is generally quoted to be about 1%, but I don't know where the figure comes from.

If you have a C section they will do it right then. If your go vaginal they usually do it the next day. You will have some sort of anesthetic
