Has anyone ever had the 1st baby born of the new year? What do u get? My baby will be here at 7 am on the 2nd but because it is a small hospital my Dr said she might be the 1st so bring my make up
I thought they only did that for millennium babies.
Im due January 1st I'm hoping I make it.but here in San Antonio you get a 10,000 scholarship for baby college, diapers,carseat, formula & be on the news.

Lmao half a cow. :-) I never heard.of.winning anything except back in 1999 when they had the first baby born in 2000...
Our hospital you get a ton of free stuff and then theres a group called ladies of south dakota and they give the winner half a cow! Farm raised beef! Im due nye so I hope we win but the docs say I won't last ft so im kinda bummed
Lol with my first baby I was due on the 4th jan 2012 but due to some problems I got admitted on 31st Dec and the nurses kept saying I'll have a new year baby but she was stubborn and didn't wanna come on the 1st so ended up having c section on the 2nd the nurse did say if she was born on the 1st I'll get some prize
At my hospital they give you all kinds of free things I'd it's the first baby of the year one of my friends had her little girl there on new years and she got tons of diapers and a car seat and some other things. I think it depends on the hospital and what they're standards are.

My son was the first of the year in 2010. We didn't get anything! I was so upset because the nurses kept saying how we could win...i assumed they meant win a prize. Nope. They did have a pic taken and put it in the hospital newsletter.
