I got mine from motherhood maternity
Www.abra4me.com. I was fitted at a local boutique (best idea ever) then found the bras at this web sight for less.
Also when I am at home and in the beginning especially I wore the nursing sleep bras or a sports nursing bra which I also get from motherhood.com. I am a 38D nursing bra and was comfortable at home in them unless I went out and after nursing for a while I went down to a c. Just giving u size so u can get an idea if u would have enough support in these types of bras.
I think its a personal choice I prefer no unwire in nursing bra it bothers me really bad after I stopped nursing for 2 yrs I went back to underwire its just uncomfortable to me while nursing and I have gotten my nursing bras from motherhood but I only like one of their bras and I absolutely love it its full coverage no underwire and it can be worn even with vneck or lower cut shirts. Honestly it took a lot if different bras for me to find one that my boobs look OK in lol and that I am comfortable in. I also have a few that I got through amazon and they are OK to.
Thank you for the help. I'm glad there are other options besides target and walmart!
If you aren't wearing the correct size the underwire will press or pukk on breast tissue and the pressure can sometimes cause blocked milk ducts. If you are wearing the right size and the wire is not pressing on the tissue but surrounds the outside of thr breasts then it is perfectly safe and will give you way more support which your back and neck will thank you for it! I have worn underwire for all three of my nursing babies and never had any blocked ducts or infections or anything
I was told underwire would have a negative impact on your milk supply.
Herroom.com and Barenecessities.com are both awesome. Make sure you size yourself correctly, herroom.com gives great instructions on how to do it yourself. And don't be afraid of underwire! If you are wearing the right size it is best for nursing because it gives the extra support your full breast need. My favorite around the house and sleeping bra for when baby first comes is a cotton one by Anita. If you search either site for the Anita 5051 it will come up.
