baby movement

I'm a first time mom-to-be who's 20 weeks pregnant. Everyone keeps asking me if I've felt the baby move yet but I'm not sure. Today I thought I might have felt movement but how can i decipher if it was/wasn't the baby's movement.

Oops *they know your body better than we do, like the way your baby implanted and all.

I am 31 weeks into my first pregnancy, and honestly the best way I've felt to describe the baby movements when I finally started feeling them was as a butterfly moving around. Just a quick light feeling muscle spasm/twinge. Thing is you might mistake anything even gas for the baby in the beginning. I didn't even first begin feeling my little one until I was further along which they said was probably because this is my first, and also the placenta settled on top so the top of my stomach is blocking off his kicks and jabs which is like having a mattress to soften the movements when they are smaller. But you definitely feel a lot more as they progress. Don't fret, honestly if it hasn't become something you're aware of after another few weeks just mention something to your doctor to give them the heads up and they'll let you know how they feel about it, everyones different and they know your body

I'm on #5, but my youngest is 4 1/2 and I haven't really felt the baby until this week- 19 weeks. There will be a point where you feel a little tickle almost that you can decipher is NOT gas! And when you recognize it, suddenly you will feel it more often and be able to experiment with what positions, sounds and foods make your baby move.

With my first, older women were always telling me when you feel it, you know. And I was panicking. I was about 22 weeks and seeing my doctor. She just happened to be measuring me & my son kicked. She said something about it. That was my ohhhh moment. Lol So no worries. You are right on track. :)
