pink vein in chicken? olive garden??

So today my friend treated me to olive garden (for one I already don't really care for olive garden not big on their good) but since my friend wanted to take me to lunch I decided why not  well I order stuffed chicken and as I  get towards the middle of my chicken I noticed it's pink and I am like WTF so I let my waitress know and she apologizes asks if I want something else says she's taking it off the bill and takes it away. SO I'm freaking out cuz I'm thinking OMG I just ate raw chicken what is going to happen with my baby boy I'm 34 weeks today. Well then the manager comes and apologizes said they've been having a recall on their chicken cuz there's a PINK VEIN in the chicken??? But says the chicken was fully cooked and that they put a thermometer in before they send it out to make sure the inside it fully cooked. For one why the eff wouldn't they tell me this before I ordered chicken and that doesn't sound right I've never heard of chicken being cooked but pink inside cuz of a vein?? I called my Dr What I should do and they said basically there's nothing they can do but if I get sick to go to L&D. What should I do? What do you ladies think?

@grizzlace right that's exactly what I was thinking. Thank you ladies so much for your advice. My friend who took me out to eat is also expecting with twins she is 20 weeks and I'm 34 and she wrote corporate a email letting them know what happened and that if anything happens to us or our unborn children they will be held accountable.

Wow! I can't believe that's all the manager did! Especially considering your pregnant! My husband and I go there all the time. One time I ordered pizza and noticed something was off with the dough. I figured it was my taste buds because I had just found out I was expecting. The second slice I realized the dough was not cooked all the way through. We alerted our waiter and the manager came over. He took it off our tab, personally over saw our new one be made, and took 20% off the rest of our bill. He didn't even know I was pregnant either! I would definitely call corporate and let them know. I've never heard of pink chicken that's cooked. They shouldn't serve it to anyone, especially a pregnant woman! Cooked or not.

I used to work for the place, and believe me, their processes aren't always right when the people are improperly trained. They shouldn't have even sold you that chicken if there was a recall on it. They just wanted to make their $$ on it so it wouldn't go to waste. I would personally call their corporate headquarters and let them know about your experience and how the manager was non-chalant about your pink chicken. They have to abide by the health codes. Best of luck to ya.

That sounds disgusting.  I'm very picky about my food. . I Would be grossed out. Hopefully you don't get sick.. drink lots of water. . Try to flush it out. If you do get sick and you can't keep anything down then go to l&d.
