protein in urine

Hi all please help im 32 weeks pregnant. Last time I went to midwife 9th jan I had protein in urine sample they sent it of and I had a uti. Doctor prescribed antibiotics n then rang following day n said they dont work for the uti u have asked if I could do another urine sample so I did now I have organisms in urine and to do another sample surely it would be easier to just prescribe antibiotics before I end up with kidney problems as thats what happens if left untreated is my baby at risk

I had constant UT I for my Entire last pregnancy and spent 7/9 months on various abx. Sometimes the protein would go up and I'd be switched again. There are many different abx to use however I have no allergies so this may have played a part. Yes it is dangerous if it reaches ur kidneys for both u and baby but u will know if it does (most painful thing I ever felt) and u may notice blood in your urine. Luckily u are already 33 weeks and if u Dr's are worried about the baby they may induce or go for a c section but he/she has great chances. Don't be afraid to go to ER if u have any concerns things change or get worse.

The doctor put me on antibiotics said thats how they treat it but the ones that work im allergic to but there has to be another sort. Im worried if they dont treat it now its gonna get worse. Iv read up on it n it says that baby could be born early or be small.

I dont know how they could treat it. When I had my first son did not know I had a kidney infection and after delivery I was hospitalized for 3days becaise the infection was that bad on my body. So I think maybe you should go to er and see if they prescribe you anything for it.
