scheduled c section tomorrow

So im super nervous, but we get to meet our little man tomorrow! The pre-op nurse said I'll have a spinal or epidural but they'll also have a really mild sedative in my IV. Really thankful for that but I want to make sure if they can keep me awake that I can hear that first cry and see him right away

Yeah they bring you in the room first and sit you on the table they do the epidural/spinal and lay you down then do the drapes etc. Hubby can come in then. Mine looked over the sheet lol he said it. Was crazy. I remember my boys cry at first but I freaked out when he went to the nursery and my hubby went to. I got really freaked out nervous and actually passed out. I was vomiting after he left from the drugs but the guy helping keep me. All by my head was amazing he held the little bowl for me to puke in and reassured me it was normL. Lol oh and they will most likely catheder you before you go in which I didn't expect n I freaked out when they said they were going to do it but it really doesn't hurt!! I thought they just said that to make you feel better lol its slless painful then when they check you for dilation. Good luck and charge your camera!!!

I have to check in at 5am and then my c section should start somewhere around 7 or so. Definitely don't forget the camera, but hubby will have to take the pics so hopefully he's up for that. My hubby sits right next to me but leans over a little so he can get pics of baby as soon as she comes out. They aren't aloud to go past the drape that is put up but can move of to the side a little. With my second c section I hdd no idea they had even started the procedure next thing I know I hear my baby girl crying it was crazy and very fast. This is my third c section

I stayed wake for mine too but I still get sad about it today BC I was so drugged up I berley remember that whole first day!! The c section doesn't hurt its the recovery I had issues with. Make you hubby or bf or whoever's there take lots of pictures and videos the day of to help you remember that my only suggestions !!! Good luck it'll be fine. :-)
