sex after vaginal delivery

I'm a FTM, and wanted to know how soon after you mamas gave birth were you having intercourse again? I'm already assuming most will be after the six wk check up. Comments/stories/suggestions welcome!!

I only waited 2 weeks after delivering all 4 of my kids and I didn't have any bleeding or cramping. Each person is different, you know your body and you'll know when your ready to try.

I have 5 kids so my 1st I waited the full 6weeks my second only 3 weeks! Do not recommend that!! My 3rd around 4-5 weeks my 4th 4 weeks this time around baby number 5 I'm waiting until around 8-10 weeks just to make sure my birth control has enough time to kick in!!

8 weeks and it was so painful we had to stop. But I had second degree tearing (vaginal muscle as well as skin) and lots of stiches (I think 6-8).

Most doctors will tell you to wait 6 weeks till your check up, but honestly I waited longer. I waited about 8 cause I was still just so sore and tender even though I was fully healed.
