And girls don't forget about magnessium. You loose much more of it if you drink coffee. And lack of it brings leg cramps.
I have been told by several doctors, a midwife, nurses, and pregnancy/infant nutritionists that caffine itself isn't harmful it'll just make your baby jittery and move around more for a little while. They said that caffeine is a bigger problem when you are trying to conceive than when you're actually pregnant. But as the one post said be aware of your hydration. Dehydration is one of the most common causes for preterm labor and is dangerous.
Coffee isnt a diabetic issue it would bethe sugar you put in it. But no caffeine really is not good. A cup a day of anu caffeine is all that is allowed during pregnancy.
What about if you are a diabetic? Can you still drink coffee?
I qm a caffine addict and I am 15weeks preggo. I actually had this discussion with my Dr. Today. 200mg is safe and the major issue is that caffine dehydrates you and can bring on contractions. So have your 200mg but make sure to drinks lots of water :-)
I think u can consume up to 200 mg of caffeine a day.. thats a large cup of coffee..u can still drink decaf or even half calf if you r having a hard time getting away from the caffeine
