Don't worry - she won't be offended, it happens all the time. It is good to work with a midwife that is in practice with a doctor, so you have that option just in case you end up needed one.

go for it! My SIL was going to do one, but then she went into labor 2 weeks earlier and didn't have time to fill the pool - it was a home birth, under 2 hours. Actually the midwife got stuck in the snow storm and my brother delivered the baby with the midwife giving him instructions over the phone - so midwives are very talented

I wish I could experience the feeling of a natural birth but because I've had two prior c-sections, my doctors are kinda making me have a third

I really wanted to, and almost had my husband convinced for the third one...until we found out it's the third AND fourth one. basically, my hopes of not being tied to the bed with ivs and monitors have been dashed.my midwife and the doctors at the clinic are still on board with a natural vaginal delivery if the babies are in the correct position. unfortunately, I'll still have to get the epidural inserted in case of c section.

You have to do what is best for you at this time and if your OB is not into what you fell is best than I would switch
