smoking

I'm 31 weeks and I just stopped smoking at 29weeks. Will my baby be ok? I need more info on smoking while pregnant.

Congratulations on quitting smoking! One of the biggest issues with smoking during pregnancy is low birth weight babies. You've stopped at a time when babies really start picking up their weight. That occurs over the last several weeks, so you are giving your baby a good chance of picking up weight and being born at a more healthy weight.

Congratulations on quitting! You should be proud of yourself. It is the hardest thing I ever did. I'm sure your baby will be just fine.

I'm sure your baby will be fine. You've done the right by quitting now. I had so much trouble quitting when I was pregnant with my first. I ended up cutting down as much asi could but still smoked the whole way through. The doctor told me to do the best I could. He's now a very healthy 18 month old. No health problems and is well above average size. His dad is really tall and solid build so to be expected I guess. This pregnancy I knew I was going to try and fall pregnant so I quit before I conceived. I now haven't had a smoke for over 10 months. :)
