Low progesterone anyone?

Ok so had first appt yesterday and all went well... Or at least I thought! Doc called me today and said my progesterone was low... Which means the baby will not grow! He called in a prescription for 200mg progesterone and will have me take this supplement until my 13th wk. Although my doc said not to freak out... How can I not?! Anyone ever experienced thisand go on to deliver a healthy baby?

Just means the Dr. is supplementing your progesterone so baby can develop and grow until the placenta takes over in the 2nd trimester. Its actually a good thing. Feel lucky, some doctors wont even bother because they feel what will happen will happen in the 1st trimester. My doctor said mine were low towards the end of my 1st trimester, but refused to do anything stating if I was meant to miscarry then that's how it would be. Needless to say I switched ob's.
