swelling and pain!

I am 32 weeks. I have swelling in my hand and feet. I have noticed that my hands hurt so bad I can cry! I tried to  write a note for my oldest and could barley write the word "to". The doc checked urine 2weeks ago and was fine.  Will this swelling ease up? Is there anything I can take?

Thank u all for the words of wisdom. Going now to try the bath thing then wok elevate my hands and feet while sleeping. I have been having headaches every morning as well.  I go to the doc Thurs and will tell her again to check my urine.  I also increased my water intake today

Drink lots of water. Sounds counterintuitive but drinking more water will help flush the rest. Also avoid salty foods and do what these other ladies have said.

Swelling is completely normal. Try opening and closing your hands throughout the day & elevate your feet when you can, especially at the end of the day. Swelling won't go away, but just know it'll all be worth it! =)

I'm exactly the same- I'm 34 weeks, I have a bath when it is really bad and that seems to ease it, I try to keep my feet elevated whenever possible although hard when at work. If you are suffering from headaches too I would spk to your midwife x x
