Hi ladies I was wondering for those of you that have a home fetal doppler to listen to the baby's heartbeat, how far along were you when you found the heartbeat the first time at home?

I was a about 18 and half weeks when I got my Angelsounds doppler and I worked right away. I just had to find him and his heart beat. He was still under my pelvic so I had to tilt it a bit.

It can vary on when you pick up the heart beat most its 15 weeks and up but, it is possible at 12 just dont worry if you cant pick it up before 15. And remember any thing between 120's-160's is normal

Mainly stay away from bebe, and the ones at Kmart and Walmart that are all one piece with head phones. If it doesn't require the gel, it's not worth it. In my opinion. Because these are notas reliable at picking up the heartbeat unless you are right on top of it and baby is positioned just so. I have seen these types cause more panic than not. You can get used ones on eBay that look like the one at the drs office and needs gel to work. Those have been the best to me. :)

It also has a lot to do with the brand of Doppler you have. Some are just stronger than others.
