First of all your technically not even full term yet (new studies say 39 weeks is full term). The best thing to do is stay healthy and active. Your body will go into labor when baby is ready. no matter how uncomfortable you are, give your baby its best shot. And don't do castor oil, it dehydrates your body and can cause serious issues. Wouldn't you rather wait it out a couple weeks to give your baby the best shot at being healthy as possible?

Ok so just keep in mind that these really only work if your body is ready. So first there is always sex, the prostagladin in the sperm helps soften the cervix and if you do orgasm then that is a natural contraction and could start labor. There is raspberry leaf tea- which is said to make you cramp and start contractions 3 cups a day. There is castor oil- which is a natural laxative and said to irritate and he bowels and cause contractions. Theres always walking,  dancing, bouncing on a birthing ball, squats. My sister is a midwife and she suggested a Mexican herb called "rudah" or "ruda"- its used to cause an abortion ir induce labor, you brew it like tea and put ut in git cocoa (she says ut tastes amazing that way).  There is evening primerose oil as well which helps soften the cervix.  These are just a few things I know of .

Im 36wks with my 3rd. I uses castor oil with my first at 40+6, took it twice first time just gave me diarrhea (not painful) worked within 12 hrs the second time I took it. With my second me and my so were very intimate,  I was in the mood all the time and my water broke at 36weeks.  This time I may try the rudah or raspberry leaf tea.  Everyone is different but id say research and speak to your doctor if you like some of these have risks so assrs whaterver works best for you, hope this helps.
